Nestled in the historic ‘Old Hat Factory’ where contemporary comfort meets unforgettable flair, Babble on Babylon is sure to impress!
Babble on Babylon temporarily closed it's doors and slowly but surely, was transformed from a strictly Jamaican restaurant to a modern, rustic & serious coffee house.
Under the meticulous eye of a multi-award winning and highly acclaimed interior designer, the front floor was stripped and polished to reveal a previously hidden, unique marble effect over the original concrete. The rear dining room was extended to offer a more spacious area suitable for functions. Plastic duct was replaced with wrought iron piping and furniture was replaced to compliment the vintage 'rag-trade' theme. This was then highlighted by a new warm interior colour scheme.
But that's not all! - ambient lighting was updated and feature light pieces were installed above the front counter and in the back dining room. Strategically placed antique furniture highlights a cosy dining area at the rear of the cafe.
Following all of this, their trading hours were extended, the kitchen facilities were improved, a boutique coffee blend was hand selected and an amazing menu offering was presented.
Then in early 2013, the much anticipated Babble's dinner menu was launched to a packed dining room full of loyal locals - bookings are essential!
With a passion for serving up rustic & wholesome food, management continually scour the land's markets and gardens to acquire the freshest & very best ingredients for their kitchen.
